Update: DBZ


Well my quest to watch Dragonball Z start-to-finish is coming along.  I am about one third of the way through.  Now I realize this word is thrown around on the internets, and has lost a lot of it's true meaning...but this series is EPIC.  I mean that in the strictest sense of the word.  It will probably take me weeks to watch the whole thing.  I've finally just finished the battle with Frieza.  It kept going (I shit you not) for 28 episodes.  At 20 minutes a piece, that's 9 hours and 20 minutes.  It's a little mind-boggling how long this series really is.  But I'm sticking to my guns, and watching it through.  Only about 61 more hours to go!

    At one day an episode, DBZ easily took me my whole childhood to watch.

    The series really is epic, and in a way the length of those battles really helped build that sense. Today I don't think I'd be able to have the patience for it, but as a kid it really did seems extraordinarily cool.

    I liked the show, but there was way too much filler. I remember it would take two weeks just for Goku's SSJ transformation.
